DualState Architectural Glass

Residential

Privacy for the rooms you actually live in.

Curtains and blinds block the light you paid for. Switchable glass keeps the daylight and gives you a private room on demand.

Good places to start

The rooms that ask for it.

Most homes have a few spots where privacy and light pull in opposite directions. These are the common ones.

Wet areas

Bathroom and ensuite windows

Keep the natural light and the view of the garden while you shower, then clear the glass again when the room is empty.

Entry

Front doors and sidelights

See who is at the door, then frost the glass when you do not want the hallway on show.

Work

Home office partitions

Close the glass for a call, open it to keep the room connected to the rest of the house.

Living

Internal glass walls and doors

Borrow light between rooms without giving up the option to close a space off.

Living with it

Control that fits how you live.

Use a wall switch for the simplest setup, a remote for flexibility, or tie the glass into your phone and your home automation. Your installer wires it to match.

Homeowner questions

Good to know.

Can it go on glass I already have?

In many cases, yes. Film is applied to clean, flat, interior glass. We check your glass during the quote.

Will it work on a curved window or an outside surface?

No. The film is designed for flat glass on the inside of a building.

What happens in a power cut?

Without power the glass returns to its private, frosted state. It fails closed, which is the safe way for a bathroom.

Is it wet-area safe?

Edges must be properly sealed and the electrical work done to standard. Your installer will explain the requirements for your room.
